I've been working on the very outer fringes of the music industry for the past 20 plus years. In fact, I began my creative career designing and fly-posting giant fluorescent posters for parties and raves around South Wales. Thankfully, I avoided being arrested and I was soon creating legal artwork for local nightclubs and bars.
Rarely does the poster game offer much in terms of financial reward, however the joy comes from capturing the flavour of the music and the scene it represents, as well as getting to check out some amazing musical artists, often in the early stages of their career. The stories — of course — are priceless.
